To play, simply print out enough character cards for each guest, ensuring there is one per participant. Among the cards, there will be one HERO, who can be either a princess or a knight, depending on the child chosen to discover the dragon. Additionally, there should be one DRAGON, while the rest of the guests take on the role of SHEEP.
The game begins with all the children sitting in a circle, facing each other. Distribute the cards, making sure that each child looks at their own card without revealing their identity to others. The HERO sits in the middle of the circle, as their identity is the only one known at the start.
Once the game starts, the DRAGON's mission is to "eat" the SHEEP by sticking out their tongue, emulating a dragon breathing fire. The DRAGON must be quick and discreet, making sure the HERO isn't looking when they reveal their tongue. If any SHEEP spot the DRAGON's tongue, they playfully fall over "dead" and make bleating sheep noises to alert everyone that the dragon has struck!
The HERO's task is to observe closely and try to identify who the DRAGON is by catching them in the act of sticking out their tongue. If the DRAGON successfully "eats" all the SHEEP but one, they win the game. However, if the HERO correctly guesses the identity of the DRAGON before all the sheep are gone, the HERO emerges victorious.
For added excitement and fairness, we recommend playing several rounds, allowing different children to take turns being the HERO and the DRAGON. This ensures everyone gets a chance to experience the thrill of discovery and the excitement of being the powerful DRAGON.
